Reminder: Barack Obama on Channel 17
I can't believe I almost for got to post this...
For those of you who missed the Barack Obama pep rally for Bernie Sanders and Peter Welch, Channel 17 is broadcasting it tonight, Thursday, March 23 at 10 p.m. and Friday, March 24 at 3 a.m., 9 a.m., and 3 p.m.
It also looks like they are re-running last month's interview with Rich Tarrant on the Live @ 5:25 show "Ideas Have Consequences" in the 45 minutes before the Obama air time. (That is, 9:15 tonight, etc.) Live shows are usually 30 minutes, but this one went over.
That is the live show hosted by Mike Quaid that Peter Freyne referred to in his Seven Days column last week, in which he described it as having "softball questions only" for Tarrant. Freyne knows darn well that those live shows are call-in. Seems to me that he could have called in his own hardball instead of rabble rousing with half truths.

That's the same article where Freyne implied that Douglas timed his trip to Iraq to divert attention from Newfane's impeachment vote, conveniently forgetting to mention that the trip had been planned by the DoD for months and included two other governors.
He also quotes Newfane's Dan Dewalt as calling Bush a liar, but passes on this subsequent Dewalt quote about Bernie Sanders' response to his resolution:
"I can't make hide nor hair about what he's doing,' DeWalt said. 'My biggest fear is that he's taking John Kerry's tried and true (strategy) and moving to the middle - and losing.'"
Freyne's column is a thinly veiled plea for a job with any political organization that will take him, and a form of light entertainment at best for the rest of us.
